Frequently asked questions

No. Your PDF is processed entirely inside your browser using local JavaScript. Nothing touches our servers for parsing. Your statement files, account numbers, transactions, and balances stay local on your device.
Any bank that gives you a text-searchable PDF statement. We've tested with Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC, NatWest, HDFC, SBI, ICICI, Emirates NBD, Standard Chartered, DBS, and about 200 others. If you can select text inside your PDF in Adobe Reader, this tool will read it.
5 formats: Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv), JSON (.json), QuickBooks (.qbo), and Quicken (.ofx). All generated locally in your browser and downloaded directly to your machine.
Yes. After parsing, every transaction appears in an editable table. Double-click any cell to fix it. You can correct dates, edit descriptions, adjust amounts, add missing rows, or delete rows the parser picked up incorrectly. The export uses whatever's in the table at the moment you click export.
Without an account: 1 conversion per day. Register for free and you get 5 per day. Paid plans remove the daily limit entirely and add bulk processing for multiple files at once.
It tries. Scanned PDFs have no text layer, so the tool uses OCR (Tesseract.js) to extract text from the image first. Accuracy depends on scan quality: a clean, high-resolution scan usually works well. A blurry phone photo of a statement will have errors you'll need to fix manually.
The tool will prompt you to enter the password. This is common with UK and Australian bank statements. The decryption happens locally in your browser, same as everything else.
After parsing, the tool automatically scans all transactions for signals: duplicate charges (same merchant, same amount within 30 days), round-number withdrawals over $100 (a classic fraud pattern), and late-night purchases between 11pm and 5am. Flagged items appear in the Intelligence Panel above the table. It doesn't contact any external fraud database — it's all pattern-matching on your local data.
Yes. You can upload up to 10 PDFs at once. The tool merges all transactions into a single table, sorted by date. Useful for full-year reconciliation or multi-month audits.
Technically yes, but the editing experience is better on desktop. The transaction table has a lot of columns, and editing cells on a small screen is annoying. If you just need to convert and download without editing, mobile works fine.
